Hi I'm Kendra

I'm a hairstylist dreaming to become a journalist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoors lovin' hairstylist from Washington State! I am currently serving an 18-month mission in Maceio, Brazil! I love to run, and I love to bake! (It makes up for all that running.) I love love love sports, espcially basketball and football! No, I cannot play either of those sports but I'm a dang good cheerleader! I'm also a State and National champion dancer. After my mission I plan to head back to school and study broadcasting and journalism.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ blesses lives in a way nothing else could. I never gained my own personal testimony until I had graduated from high school and headed off to college, and then it was time for me to figure it out on my own and for myself! I've never been more greatful for that. I was able to struggle, and to truly seek for Jesus Christ and to seek for that guidence and that fulfilliment. It was sitting in front of me my whole life! I was born into the church, but had depended on my families testimonies all growing up. So that time when I had gone out on my one was the biggest growing opportunity for me. I grew closer to my Savior, and to Heavenly Father. I dilligently studied the Book of Mormon, and attending religious classes weekly. I came to know Jesus Christ so well, and I had never been happier in my life. As soon as I turned my life over to God I discovered that He would deepen my joys, multiply my blessings, quicken my mind, increase my opportunities, expand my vision, comfort my soul, and pour out peace. There is nothing more phenomenal.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by walking as closly as I possibly can in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I know the Lord doesn't expect me to be perfect, but I know if I strive to be as Christ like as I can, then I'll pass! I'm thankful for all that this gospel has blessed me with. I live it daily by currently serving the Lord as a fulltime missionary. Before my mission I attended Institute classes to learn more about Jesus Christ and His gospel, but I also lived my faith through serving others and as being an example of my faith at all times.
