Hi I'm Joshua Moon

I'm from South Jordan, Utah, I love to play basketball, I'm serving a mission in Virginia, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in South Jordan, Utah and went to high school at Bingham High School. I love music and I was in the marching band. I also love to play basketball. Some of my hobbies include watching and playing sports, hanging out with friends, dancing, and making people laugh. I went to BYU-I for a year after high school, and I am now on my mission. I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the only true church on the earth today. We have a loving Heavenly Father who is very aware of His children, and he wants the best for us. He sent His son, Jesus Christ to die for us so that we can live with him again someday. He also gave us a plan called the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Atonement is central to that plan. I love that I can repent of my sins, and recieve strength in times of need, all because of what Christ did for us. That is why I am a Mormon. I know that the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is found in this church. Heavenly Father has also shown His love for us by calling a prophet to lead and guide us and the church. I know Thomas S. Monson is called of God. I also know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith, and that what Joseph said he saw, really happened. The Book of Mormon is true, and is evidence of the Restoration. I am grateful for the knowledge of all of these things, and I wouldn't know if it wasn't for the power of the Holy Ghost. Because as it says in Moroni 10:5, "by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by being a full-time missionary for the church. I have had an interesting experience so far as I have had to really show a lot of faith. I learned Dutch in the Missionary Training Center, and was called to serve in the West Indies Mission, but my call was changed to the Virginia Richmond Mission. I wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything, though. I have learned so much and I love seeing the change that the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes in people that I come in contact with. Another way I live my faith is by being obedient. I know that when you are obedient to God's commandments, blessings will follow.
