Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a college student, sports fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a huge sports fan that can watch and enjoy any sport. My favorite sport is tennis. I'm a college student that is pre-med. I have lived in several different parts of the west and midwest. I am about to begin serving my mission in New Mexico and am excited to share the gospel with the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I used to rely on my family for my testimony, but during my teenage years I found the Church to be true for myself. I think middle school and high school are difficult for everyone. I had heard growing up that we can overcome any hardship if we rely on our Heavenly Father. During this time I tried this for myself and my whole outlook of my faith and the world changed. I knew that I had a Father in Heaven that loves me. He knows who I am and understands everything that I go through. I know that I can have a personal relationship with Him through prayer. I know that by following the principles of the Gospel anybody one can draw closer to our Heavenly Father and feel His love that He has for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be as generous as possible. I am an Eagle Scout and along with that do a lot of community service. I also volunteer with the local high school to help coach different sports and activities. After I graduated from high school I became an assistant scout master and help plan and conduct their camp outs and activities. I love serving others and as I do so I feel closer to my Savior.
