Hi I'm Kyle Whitby

Im from a small town in Wyoming. I like spending my time in the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single and am preparing to serve a mission in Canada. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, running, playing sports, and anything that involves my family. I have earned my Eagle Scout rank and I have graduated High School with honors. I played Football and participated on our track team in High School. I currently work as a construction worker, specificly tile flooring.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I know that our Heavenly Father lives and loves us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most correct book and that if we will read from it, we will feel the importance of it and the knowledge that it is true. I love this gospel and I know that I must do everything to share it. I am eternally greatfull for my instructors who have guided me throughout my life and have tried to keep me on the straight and narrow path of rightousness. I know that our Lord and Savior suffered and died for us so that we can be forgiven our tresspasses against Him. I am so greatfull for His sacrifice. I know that He has sent the Holy Gost to comfort and protect us if we will listen to His promptings. I love this gospel with all of my heart and I don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

My current calling in the church, is the assistant basketball coach. Twice every week, I get the opportunity to work with the young men in my ward. I have found that sometimes to really get to know someone, you need to become a part of their life. You can learn so much from the youth, for example, when we are getting ready for a game some of the kids will streach or practice layups, free-throws, or jump shots. While others might be practicing their half court buzzer shot. In the end, thoes that have been practicing the important shots have played great. Thoes that were primarily messing around feel like they havent contributed as much as they should have. I have three hometeaching families, one of wich is a family with three kids and two parents. The other one is an older couple whose children have grown up and now have their own families. The third is a single gentlemen who is inactive in the church. From each of these visits, with all of these different families i learn how very important it is to have the gospel in my life. I see how children are raised in the gospel and what they learn. I learn from my elders how I can become a example of the believers. Even the inactive gentlemen teaches me how to avoid mistakes and how to grow strong in the faith.
