Hi I'm Kaitlin

I grew up in North Dakota with a beautiful family who I love and cherish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some hobbies of mine include backpacking, running, racquetball, basically anything active. I also love doing crafts! I guess that's just the natural woman in me. I am also a full-time student at Brigham Young University - Idaho majoring in accounting with a minor in economics. If I ever have spare time, which is very rare, and I'm not doing one of those activities I will usually be either hanging out with friends or reading a great book. Starting in March of 2013, I will be going on a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the Los Angeles-Spanish speaking are. I could not think of a better decision to make than to devote 18 months of my life to Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ and I'm tremendously excited to serve the people of LA.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it teaches and lives everything that I think a church should be. It teaches love, hope, service, respect, and sacrifice. I have felt belonging through the church community and I have seen how living the gospel principles is changing me into the person who I wish to become. I have lived its teachings and I know that it is the only church that is 100% governed by Christ. I testify that this church has the fullness of His gospel and every aspect of it brings you closer to Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently called to teach the youth (ages 12-18) in my ward and also Sunday School (ages 18+). I love to teach! I have never had such a gratifying responsibility. In every lesson I give, it is my goal for the people of my classes to feel of the Spirit and goodness of our Father in heaven. He loves every single one of us and is just waiting to poor down blessings to us if we will just reach out to him. I also live my faith by being an example and doing the things that this gospel preaches. I believe that being an example is the best way to share the gospel and testify of who you are, and who you serve.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Absolutely, 100% yes! Throughout history, Heavenly Father has called mortal men to carry his church forward and recieve divine inspiraration for His people at that point in time. My question for you is, if Heavenly Father did it for His church back in the times of Noah and Moses, why wouldn't He do it now? This world has never been more chaotic and confused as it is today. We need guidance to lead us to things that will bring us joy, peace, and prosperity. If there are any questions about the living prophet, I urge you to listen to the General Conference sessions offered by this church which can be found on the church's website. Show more Show less
