Hi I'm Alexis

I grew up in a small town in Utah. I am working on my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing a variety of different activities, and one of my favorite things to do is to sit down and read a good book. I love being active and enjoy participating in basketball, volleyball, tennis, racquetbalI, skiing, etc. I love spending time in the kitchen learning how to cook different things, being with friends and family, and going to school. I am almost finished with my Bachelor's degree in elementary education with an endorsement in English and math. Currently I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know this is the true and everlasting church. I grew up with the Church in my life and it has always been a way of life for my family and I. As I have gotten older I have come to know for myself that this is the true church and this is where I need to be. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me so that I might return to live with my Heavenly Parents. Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, my pains, my afflictions, and sorrows of every kind and He knows exactly what I have gone through and what I am going through. We don't have to live this life carrying around our burdens because He has already suffered for them. He knows exactly how we feel and we can give our burdens to Him. I know that this life is not the end and that we can live with our families forever. Families are meant to be together forever and through this gospel we can live with those we love always. I also know that we have prophets and apostles on the earth today to lead and guide our church. I know that Prophet Thomas S. Monson is the prophet of the church in these latter-days, and that by following his council we can live our life in such a way so we can return to our Heavenly Parents again!

How I live my faith

My faith dictates my daily actions and the way I try to live my life. The way I live doesn't involve drastic measure but it is life changing. I live my faith everyday by the small and simple things I do. I read my scriptures, pray, go to church, and try to treat others the why I would like to be treated. I am involved in the different areas of the church, and I try to do the things that are asked of me the best that I can.
