Hi I'm Christine

Why Hello there! I'm from Connecticut. I love movies, particularly Lord of the Rings; kind of a nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at UVU. I am studying anthropology. I have three brothers and one sister, five of us in total. My dad died when my mom was pregnant with me, so it's just been the six of us. I moved to Utah when I was almost fourteen. I'm an artist; I love to explore the world and learn new things about people. I want to get involved in humanitarian aid and non-profit organizations. I really enjoy movies. I'm inspired by humanity, by people. I want to learn from others and help the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church. However, I continue to stay in this church because it gives me meaning, hope, and understanding. I love Christ so much and I know that this is His gospel. I feel so much peace in this church and I have come to know through the Holy Spirit that it is true. It's as simple as that. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon; I have prayed about this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I know it to be true. I know that through my faith and through prayer, I have come to this understanding and I continue on in this church because of this. Christ knows.

How I live my faith

I used to be a Sunbeam's teacher (i.e. I taught children who were 3-5 years old) in my church, but I just recently got released from that calling. This was one of the most difficult, wonderful, and fulfilling callings I have ever had in the church. Heavenly Father loves those children so much. The Lord has strengthened me through this calling. Now, I am actually preparing to serve a mission. I'm going to the New Zealand Wellington mission and I'm excited to serve the Lord and the people. I love serving the people around me and understanding who they are. I know that Christ loves everyone so much and I'm excited to help my brothers and sisters come unto Him.
