Hi I'm Travis

Grew up in Oregon and now I am currently on my mission in Oklahoma City Oklahoma and I am a mormon

About Me

I am 1 out of 13 in my family. I love doing things out doors with my friends. I am an Eagle Scout and have loved my scouting years. My passion is Snowboarding. It is my second love next to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and everything it entails. I also have a passion for riding sport bikes. I have a yamaha r6 and that thing is most excellent. I have taken a break from college which I have a set major in Aviation at Utah Valley University. I am trying my best to walk in the footsteps of Christ and do all I can to stay connected and fulfill my purpose as a Missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel. I love the Book of Mormon and I love all of the leaders of the church. It is the one true Gospel that is on the Earth. I have received personal inspiration and revelation that it is true and that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want the very best for us and if we follow the commandments and hearken to the words spoken by the prophets we can withstand all temptation and in the end return to live with our Heavenly father. I know for a fact that the prophets that are called are called of God and are Elect men. There has been many times in my life where I have had to partake of the gift of the atonement and go through the repentance processes so that I could feel the spirit again and have my burdens taken off my shoulders and to just feel good again. The feeling that you have when the bad things of the world get you down is a terrible feeling but we can always feel better when we utilize the atonement. I know Joseph Smith was the only person on the earth that could deliver and be trusted with such a great work that Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus appeared to him in the Garden. I know this gospel is true especially for the reason of why a person such as Joseph Smith would cause himself so much anguish and hardship and suffer so much abuse physical and verbal if the work that he was doing wasn't true. I am at an age where I have the opportunity to choose for myself in what to believe and how to believe it and this gospel just makes sense. We strive to become better people and help those around us and I have seen the affect in my own life. My friends hold me to a higher standard and recognize that I have certain morals that I will not break and that my beliefs have made me strong and have made me into who I am today. I testify to you that all our hardships and struggles are only for our benefit and a true sign that the lord loves and cares for each of us and wants nothing but the best for us. I say this in the name of Jesus the Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I have attended church virtually every Sunday since I was born. I have received and accepted an assignment to serve my two year mission in the Oklahoma City Mission which covers a little bit into Kansas down into Texas. I have found great love for the people I serve as I shape my life in trying to be more like christ. I have seen and I know that the Doctrine of Christ is the only and true way back to live with our Father in Heaven. Continueous application of the Doctrine brings us true happiness and joy that can only be brought through Christ. I have come to rely on Christ more than I ever have before in my life by being one of his many representatives in the world. I would never trade anything for the Gospel or my Testimony of it. This part of my life has been such a blessing even though I have been tried and tested more that ever before but I know as we have unwavering obedience to the commandments and true Faith in Christ we can overcome any obstacle we face in our lives
