Hi I'm Austin Hoyt

I grew up in Ione, California. I love my family and love to spend time with them. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Austin, and I am 18 years old. I love being with my family, they make me so happy when I spend time with them. I love playing football, basketball, tennis and golf. I'm not very good at golf, but I try :) I just finished my first semester at college and absolutely loved it. I loved the freedom and being on my own, and at the same time realized how much I love my family. I love meeting new people and always try to be as nice as I can to everyone I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is our Savior, and that He restored the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints back on the earth. I have a true testimony of His Atonement, and that through Him we can be forgiven of our sins. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored the fullness of the Gospel upon the Earth. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, and that we can learn from the truths that it teaches. I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that these things are true. I have a testimony of the power of the Priesthood, and I have seen the blessings it has in my life and in the lives of the people I have served. I know that my family will be together forever, because we were sealed in the House of the Lord. I know that we have a Father in Heaven, and that he loves and wants the best for us. I know with a surety that Jesus Christ is His Son, and my Redeemer.

How I live my faith

The main way I strive to live my faith is through serving others. I was able to serve in a leadership position in my college ward where I had the chance to help many young men and women in our ward. I loved the service I gave to them and I loved seeing the influence I had on them as I served them. I was able to teach the young men in my ward, and always tried to focus on representing Christ through our example and everything we do in life. I was in charge of organizing different ward activities also, and I always tried to choose an activity that everyone would enjoy and be able to have clean, wholesome fun. I love serving others, being an example to them and doing my best to represent Christ to the people around me.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Austin Hoyt
We believe that the Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead who guides us and comforts us when we need help. He is a teacher who can bring feelings of warmth and knowledge to us when we have questions about life. If we pray and ask God to know the truth about the Gospel, then the Holy Ghost will help us receive those answers if we truly desire it. Show more Show less
