Hi I'm Clarissa

I am left-handed. I served a mission in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a little taller than an Emperor penguin. I've worked in a sushi place, a laundry business and a summer camp in the mountains. I am a student. I like friendly people. I served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because it is the best thing for my life. I find that it is a Gospel of constant progression. We believe that we are eternal spirits and will be with out loved ones after this life.

How I live my faith

I find guidance in regular scripture study, sincere prayer, and taking the Sacrament (communion) every Sunday at Church. I look for opportunities to serve.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Mormon women hold many leadership roles in the Church and serve in many ways. It is not necessary for women to hold the Priesthood in order to do this, or any other function. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes. After Christ was resurrected, He visited His people in what is now called North America. He shared the Gospel that He had preached in the Old World and organized His Church. He told the people in the Americas, "Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world" (3 Nephi 11:14).
