Hi I'm Tyler Winkelkotter

I grew up in utah. I love Christmas music and adventure. I aspire to change the world. I´m a mormon.

About Me

I am a nineteen year old young man. I am currently serving a mission for the church in Mexico. I love to be outdoors from hiking to water rafting to skydiving. I desire to attend college when I get home and become a doctor. If medicine turns out not to be my destiny I wish to double major in marketing and finance and be a commercial real estate agent. I played football in high school and made many friends there. I have such a wondeful family and find such joy in knowing I can be with them forever. Disney movies are my favorite. I loved watching The Lion King and Mulan growing up. My parents and I share a love for Christmas music and you could find us listening to it in July even...shhh. I think laughter is a great remedy for heartache. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I´ve found myself in hard situations before, but I alwas remember that my Savior understands. I have many apirations to change the world, because if I don´t try who will? Well I guess I love to learn and grow, and I love meeting new people. I´m a son, a brother, a friend, an adventurer, a learner, a dreamer, and I´m a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are both wonderful people. They had both chosen to remain faithful members of the church all of their lives that I was taught at a young age. This brought a lot of responsibility to me. Being friendly I was able to make a lot of aquaintences at school. There were times that I forgot who I was and did not like the bad feeling that followed. I decided to really get involved in the church because I wanted to learn how I could have fun and still be a faithful member of the church. I learned that it is very much possible. I feel so good knowing i'm trying to be like Jesus. I just felt so much power that Christ is my savior and I can go to Him about anything. Even though I was raised in the church I came to a point were I wanted to know for myself. I had made some mistakes, but I knew I could be forgiven. I remember praying to God and askin Him for forgiveness and help. I felt so at peace and so happy. I knew it had to be right. That's why I decided to serve a mission because I Love God. There is nothing else in this world that compares to the happiness, peace, and comfort that you feel with being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am so happy to be a mormon and I love being a mormon.

How I live my faith

I was able to be President of the a program called seminary. In high school all students have the opportunity to take seminary and to learn more about the gospel and church in a building by the campus. I got to meet many people and talk about their lives and I loved it! Now I am a missionary. Everyday is full of studying and learning. I get to find people to talk to and get to do a lot of service. I find so much happiness in talking to others about Jesus Christ. The message is so uplifting and seeing hope enter someone's life is the greatest blessing I could ever pray for.
