Hi I'm Jordan

I am a professional DJ, I love to play piano and drums, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My passion is music. I have been a professional DJ for 2 years and have DJ'ed for colleges, high schools, churches, weddings, and private events. I've played drums for 6 years and piano since I was 8 years old. I love to spend time with friends and be active. I like to go to concerts, go to the lake, and be outgoing. I am a die-hard University of Utah student with hopes of one day becoming an anesthesiologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel my whole life, so Christ's church has always been apart of my life. In the same way as anyone else can, I have built a testimony of this Church. As I read, pray, and go to church each week, my faith and knowledge only grows. My testimony was not built in an instant or through a sudden miracle, although at times I have prayed for that. My conviction of the truthfulness of this gospel, however, grew day by day, week by week as I strove to serve others. It doesn't happen all at once; testimony is something we have to work for. The church can bring you happiness that cannot be felt anyway else. As I look around at all the other people I meet every day, it amazes me that people wouldn't want these blessings in their lives. This church explains all the questions we could have, and fills me with a hope that nothing else can bring.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I am serving a mission for the church, and I feel like this is one of the greatest things I can do in my life. I enjoy helping bring others unto Christ. I have regularly attended church my whole life, and have had many leadership positions within it. I've been a leader within my youth group and have organized different activities for the youth. I strive to live the commandments to the fullest and honor the covenants I have made. At times I make mistakes, but I know that I can better myself every day, repent, and become like Christ. I try to be an example to all those I meet who do not share my same beliefs and standards, hoping that they can come to have this happiness that I have.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We live happily! We lead normal lives, have fun, enjoy time with friends and families, go to movies and concerts, and all the other fun things to do in this life. The point of this life is to have joy! We just choose to live a higher standard of living by abstaining from certain worldly practices that are condoned by our heavenly father. We find a lot of that joy within our families as we spend time together. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Our bodies are gifts from God, and they're amazing creations. It's common knowledge that drugs, tobacco, and alcohol damage our bodies. Coffee and tea can form strong addictions and can also damage our bodies. Most importantly, this commandment is from God, and as latter day saints we believe in modern revelation. Show more Show less
