Hi I'm Stuart Urbieta

My names Stuart. I'm from Dayton, Ohio. I like long walks on the beach, boxing, eating, and bagpiping! Scotland/Ireland mission!

About Me

I play the Highland Bagpipes and love fitness and sports. I play with a local pipe and drum band and am no stranger to the stage! I use my bagpipes to entertain, but there is also a spiritual aspect to it. It is a unique way to bare my testimony in ways words cannot express. I love my strong Scottish background, I really let it be a part of who I am. I love out door activities such as rock climbing and hiking. I am currently serving a mission in the Scotland/Ireland mission, and I can honestly say that it is the best decision I have ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church. I am a convert because the Lord has witnessed the truth and divinity to me many times. While I was born into the Church, I did not take it to heart through a portion of my life. I fell away slowly and had other Earthly ambitions such as college, then the military. I even attended other sects to see how they worshiped. I can say now that the Lord has other plans for me and wanted me to serve a mission. Before all that though, specific, personal things occurred in my life that prepared me for the future(Today and forward). Through prayer, faith, and action, and promptings of the spirit. While I never did join the military, because of the promptings telling me not to and to serve a mission, I have joined the Army of the Lord and could not be happier. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have received a witness by the power of the holy ghost that The Book Of Mormon is the word of God and is for our day. That witness caused me to be moved to tears of love, joy, peace, meekness, comfort, knowledge. I bare my bold and solemn testimony that this Church is true. That Jesus is the Christ. That he is the redeemer of all man kind. That he is the son of the living God. I know that he lives. I know that this is indeed the church of Christ. That the fullness of the gospel and the priesthood have been restored upon the face of the Earth once again. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as best I can. In this dark world full of trials, ones faith/religion can be the "get away" from the hard times. There is much joy to be found in serving the Lord; and each day I strive to build my relationship with him and our savior, Jesus Christ. My faith is who I am, and it has caused me to be the person I am. Like how one must take care of their body. To make sure it is healthy and going strong and fit and well fed, your faith must be taken care of and fed spiritually and kept strong for things to come. I live my faith by doing good unto others. By leaving my testimony and my sure knowledge of Christ to all those who are in my life. I am currently a missionary and loving it! There is no greater joy than serving the Lord! I have dedicated my life to serve others and God, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through out Scotland and Ireland.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Stuart Urbieta
The Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is holy scripture, like the Bible. Its soul porpoises is to convince all that Jesus is the Christ. It is to be used along side the Bible and they back each other up. It was made for our day, and it has prophesies of our day. No contradictions. It is the same Gospel from a different group of ancient people. It shows how we are ALL Gods children and that he loves us all. Remember that he has children in more than then one part of the world. Remember that not only the Jews, but the entire world shall has hear his gospel. How can you know if its true? Read it, ponder about the message it contains, and then to ask the eternal father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. If you ask in faith and are willing to act upon your answer, you shall receive a witness by the power of the holy ghost that it is indeed the word of God. The Book of Mormon is a beautifully written and inspiring piece of history. It will change your life and strengthen you. Indeed. It has been prophesied in the Bible and like the Bible, it has withstood the test of time. Read it and apply it to your life. Gain a testimony of its power and divinity. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Stuart Urbieta
Simple. Pray and ask in faith. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." If you truly want to know for yourself and are sincere in your search, God will show you the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Study the scriptures with prayer, pray often to know for yourself and put your trust in God and God only. Let no man on the Earth persuade your thoughts or steer you in a different direction. Remember that by the power of the holy Ghost, you can know the truth of all things. Show more Show less
