Hi I'm Jacob

Soy un estudiante en la Universidad, trabajé para Coca-Cola, y soy Mormón.

About Me

Hello! I am a student at BYU. Currently, I am studying chemical engineering. When I finished high school received my Associate of Science Degree. I live with my parents and my two brothers and one sister, all younger. I like to camp, swim, play paintball, go shooting, and play video games. Well, I love video games, and played video games a lot during high school and college. Halo, Call of Duty, Fallout, Portal, Assassins Creed, you name it, I´ve probably played it. Another love of mine are Firearms. I love to go out and put rounds down range. It is so fun. Anyways, after one year in college, I worked for Coca-Cola. My job was to test the sugar drinks, carbonation and flavor. Basically, I was a taste tester for Coca-Cola. It was really fun to be able to drink soda every day and get paid for it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true Church. And, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ has the authority of God. I know that the Authority of God was restored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he saw Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that through His Atonement, we can be cleansed of all our sins. Also, we receive peace, strength, and comfort from the Atonement in our lives as we try to overcome the trials and challenges. I know this to be true because I have prayed to God and asked for forgiveness of my sins. I received a confirmation by the power of the Holy Spirit. I know this is the only way we can recieve joy and happiness in this life and in the life after. It means everything to me, and gives me hope and peace during difficult times in my life. This is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now, I live in Culiacán Sinaloa México, but before I lived in North Carolina. In NC, I was the leader of a group of young men in the Church. We were all 16-18 years old and we had a great time going camping together, playing sports, and learning about the Gosepl. I loved helping other young men in my group, and it was tons of fun. In my community, I received the Eagle Scout award for building some picnic tables in a local park.
