Hi I'm Rees Riddoch

I'm a mormon it's awesome.

About Me

Hi my name is Rees. I am a Ph.D. student at a university. I am interested in teaching health education courses at the college level. I love to play guitar, ukulele, and play sports of every kind. I love to watch movies and play board games with friends and family members. I have to say that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) is a place where people from every nation, kindred and tongue and people and race and color can come together to worship God. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a.k.a. Mormons. We are called Mormons because we believe in the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ. We also believe in the King James Version of the Bible. The Bible and the Book of Mormon go hand in hand with each other. The Book of Mormon doesn't say anything that contradicts the Bible. And Yes...we are Christians and Christ is the center focal point of our religion. Without Jesus Christ we couldn't repent of our sins and be forgiven and be given a chance to live forever with him and overcome death. The gospel means good news and when we live the gospel of Jesus Christ we will truly be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one true church on the face of this earth. I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ and I prayed to know for myself if the church was true. I received and have received many times over confirmations from the spirit that the church was indeed true. I didn't receive a verbal message from the spirit that the church was true. I have felt the burning fire of the spirit and joy and happiness and peace that the spirit has brought into my life. I am a Mormon because Mormons are committed to their religion. They live their life to the best of their ability. Mormons make mistakes and are not perfect people but they try their best and then they let the atonement of Jesus Christ make up the difference.

How I live my faith

I go to FHE or family home evening every week at my church. Young single adults can go to their local church and participate in a spiritual thought and then have fun doing activities that are provide wholesome uplifting entertainment. Members of the church who aren't young single adults and still live at home can have family home evening with their family. Family home evening could consist of reading a chapter out of the scriptures together as a family. Then a family could play a board game together or eat dinner together as a family. I regularly attend church every week all 3 hours of it. Church provides members the opportunity to partake of the sacrament and re-new our baptismal covenants which remind us to always remember Christ and to keep his commandments so that we can have his spirit to be with us at all times. I love Church and I know that it is extremely important to attend. I also frequently go visit non-members with the missionaries of our church and help others to come unto Christ. I live my faith by being in the world but not of the world. I stand out from the world by keeping the commandments of our current prophet Thomas S. Monson. President and prophet Thomas S. Monson is a man chosen by God to lead the Saints in our times to help us come closer to God by helping us choose the right. I stand out from the world by not drinking alcohol or smoking or using foul language.
