Hi I'm Cassidy

I grew up playing many different sports. I decided to become a missionary after studying in Jerusalem. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student that has decided to take a break and serve my Lord on a mission. I play any and every sport. I have had the opportunity to study in Jerusalem. I have a big family and we are not perfect in any manner but we try. I write poems to try and share what I feel inside some are funny, and others are moments that the Lord has shared with me a bit of understanding. I have a past filled with joy but also loss, but I always strive to find peace and happiness in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because we are different. There is a light or a spirit about us; others see this light and want it. They want this peace that we find in our lives, this peace comes from the knowledge I have. I know I am a child of a God that loves me, individually. He loved me enough to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to be sacrificed for my sins. Jesus loves me more than His only life that He freely gave so that I could be forgiven. He rose 3 days later making it possible for me to live again. I know that Jesus Christ died for my sins and more importantly He rose again and lives. He has restored the church He set up in His mortal ministry to the earth. He answered the prayer of the boy, Joseph Smith, and through Him brought forth the Book of Mormon and restored the truths that had been lost with the death of the apostles. Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God and it contains another record of Christ. I know that Jesus lives again, He loves us, and He is eagerly awaiting our return.

How I live my faith

I am still young in the church but serve where I am called and grow with each calling. I have served in multiple presidencies both in my youth and now as I join the other women my age and older, I have been called as a teacher to other women, a group leader to those who were assigned to me and I came to love, and now as a Sister missionary preparing to bring others closer to the Savior by serving them. I try to smile and be a welcoming face to those people that cross my path. I help my neighbors when they are in need and cannot help make a funny face at all the little children I see.
