Hi I'm Michael V. DeGraw

I grew up in Utah. Did great in school and made it to the state finals for Sterling Scholar. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to draw. I'm not a professional, nor do I even like my drawings half the time, but draw nevertheless I do. I find peace in drawing, in creating, in acting, and from this I can share that with others and make the world a brighter place.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents were members, and so were their parents, and their parents, and their parents, and so on for several generations. At first, that was why I was a member, only because my family was, but that is not why I am a member now. I am a member now because I have a testimony that it is true. It isn't a question for me. I have seen too many miracles, felt too many wonderful things - such as peace in troubling times, and have seen the blessings of the gospel in my life far too greatly for me to have any doubt. The only question is whether or not I'm going to act on my knowledge, and, since I'm serving a mission, I am acting on it, and receiving peace and blessings for me and all people I meet because of it.

How I live my faith

I always strive to do what is right. 100% Obedience. I'm not saying I actually manage to be obedient 100% of the time, but I strive to. I have had a calling in the church to be a teacher for young children, ages 4 and 5, and every sunday I would try to teach them the gospel. That was not easy - its hard enough to get them to focus when you bring them food or something to do, much less when you are trying to testify of things that they don't understand at their age, but nevertheless it was not important what I said, what was important was how I said it - with love. If all those little kids got out of my lessons was that there was someone who loved them in this world then I feel like I did my job.
