Hi I'm Suzanne Squire

I've lived in Utah my entire life and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I love spending time with my family and my friends. I went to college for a couple years, but I am taking a break so I can serve a mission. I teach nursery for the two year olds in my ward and I love them to pieces! I love to read and I devour any book I can get my hands on. I also love to write and have taken a few courses in both creative writing, as well as poetry. I also love music and singing (though to be honest, I don't have the greatest voice---or at least my little sister tells me so). Another great passion of mine is cooking. I love food---probably a little too much. And I love life in general!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and I thought I always believed in it, but my true conversion didn't happen until I was a teenager. My parents were divorced while I was in middle school and it threw all of my beliefs into question. They were having a difficult time attending church and so was I. I remember being angry and unhappy. After the shock of the divorce, when I started settling back into my life, I remember the feeling that something was missing. It was then that I prayed to see if the church was true; the first time that I searched for truth on my own instead of accepting what my parents told me. That was when I gained a sure knowledge that this gospel is true. And by living the gospel, it has made such an enormous difference in my life. It gave me the thing that was missing in my life before---it gave me true happiness. I received so many things with that, including a knowledge that Christ is my Redeemer and that He knows and loves me. I gained a personal relationship with Him that I didn't know I could have. I have also gained testimony that the atonement is real and that no matter what mistakes I make, He always has His hand stretched forth to help guide me back. I am happy knowing that I am living my life in a way that is making Him happy and I know without a doubt I will be able to return to Him someday. And I am grateful for all of the trials that I went through, for without them I may not have ever been truly converted and I would have never felt the song of redeeming love in my heart that I feel now.

How I live my faith

I teach the two year olds at church. I love teaching them! Even though the lessons are simple, the spirit is so strong! And getting to know each little kid and their parents is so much fun! I also go visiting teaching, which is where another sister and I go visit a few other sisters in our area to see how they are doing and give them a quick spiritual thought. I love my partner, she is absolutely wonderful! She is very thoughtful of the needs of the sisters we visit and I have learned a lot about being Christ-like from her. I also love the women we visit! It boosts and strengthens my spirit visiting with them. I have received so much happiness by serving them!
