Hi I'm Mendy.

I grew up in the Philippines. I'm working right here in Thailand as a school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm almost 40 and still single. I do love to marry and build my own family...But for now I'm enjoying teaching hundreds of children--my students...To me, they are like my own children sent by God under my care. Teaching and watching them grow in knowledge and wisdom is indeed a great privilege for me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents became members of the church when I was just a year old. Though I was baptized in the Catholic church, I grew up going to the LDS church with my family every Sunday. I was baptized in the church when I turned eight just as all my siblings are. I feel so blessed that our parents chose to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ and raise our family in the church. Our family life may not be perfect. We got our share of challenges...But we're able to find peace and happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

I'm recently the Ward Music Chairman in our ward. I love this calling because I am able to work with those who got musical talents. My job is really easy. I just make sure the hymns are prepared and that we do have a chorister and a pianist for our sacrament meeting each Sunday. I would substitute for the chorister from time to time. The best part of my job is discovering those who got musical talents and asking them to do a special presentation during our sacrament meeting. We did have a wonderful musical presentation just last December for Christmas. The music reminded me of home--the Philippines--where Christmas is really big. I would love to spend Christmas with my family again...Well, I would love to be with them not only on Christmastime but forever...It's so comforting to know that this is possible...Yes it is! We can be together forever with our family because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
