Hi I'm Caitlin

I grew up in Virginia. I'm a mother of 2, a law student at Stanford, a lover of bluegrass music, and a Mormon.

About Me

I love a good laugh, and by extension, anyone who makes me laugh. I spent a lot of time studying, playing with or reading to my kids, cooking, and I am an expert in the art of the cat-nap. When I have free time, I like to explore music, the "downtowns" of cities, and the various beaches I am lucky enough to live near.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 2001. I grew up as an Episcopalian, and while I cherish my experiences with that church, I always felt like there was something missing. I began exploring various religions in my teens and eventually came into contact with some Mormon missionaries. The teachings of the church resonated with me and I knew they were true. The Book of Mormon and the church have been sources of strength and stability in my life through many good times as well as many challenges such as an unfortunate divorce, the grind of law school, and the daily struggles of parenthood. I am not perfect, but Mormonism has given me the tools I was searching for to connect with God and find my purpose in life.

How I live my faith

I believe our relationship with God manifests itself in the way we treat others. My faith helps me remember that we are all sons and daughters of a loving God and we are all in this together. I believe that God has a plan for me and that that plan involves serving others. I try to live that mission in life primarily through mothering my two daughters and I am hoping that my legal education will also help me to serve others as well.
