Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in a small town. I was the first woman in my family to get a college degree. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have had a passion for learning ever since I can remember. My mother would read to us and teach us all she could about the arts. I learned to play stringed intruments, paint, and dance. Both of my parents were always trying to inspire their children to take opportunities to learn new things and improve ourselves. I grew up to be resealiant and easy going in the midst of three teasing brothers and a much older sister who taught me to paint my toenails, curl my hair, and to throw out old treasures when they were spent. I love to bake, and to sing, and to dance whenever I can. I like to be self-sufficient and independent, but I try to let my husband do a few things for me now and then. I love the Lord and try to reflect him in all I do; whether it's gardening, baking cookies, creating music or art, or just finding ways to be more economical and earth-friendly aware.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but my father joined in his twenties before he met my mother and my mother's parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was young. Even though I was born into this faith I had a journey of my own and found out for myself the truth of it's teachings. I read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover on my own just before I turned 16 and gained my testimony of the truth I found in it's pages. It was a turning point in my life and I realized what was really important to me and how I wanted to live my life. I realized that my Heavenly Father had been there for me all along and I felt peace and comfort as I felt his love and awareness of me fill my heart to overflowing. I want to live how my Father in Heaven has planned for me because he knows how to "get the most out of life," and "live life to the fullest." The Lord knows how to be truely happy and he has told us how if we will just follow his instructions we can have true happiness. I know it because everytime I do follow those instructions I get a little bit of that happiness added to my life.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching the young women in church and helping them with activities to grow and develope their gifts and understandings about life. They are such strong people and have such great things ahead of them in life; I feel humbled by the responsability to help them become their best.
