Hi I'm Kylee Olson

I'm a natural redhead who loves to sing, dance, act, write, and play the harp. I'm almost trilingual, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I go to college, I'm majoring in Creative Writing. I have lived in Russia and speak Russian, and I'm about to go on a Spanish speaking Stateside mission. I love to create new things from old things, and I love to travel. I love the performing arts and I love trying new things. I have played the harp for over ten years and it is the love of my life so far. I work hard to earn my callouses. Life hasn´t always been easy, in fact, most of the time it can be quite difficult, but I am trying my hardest to have faith great enough to walk on water. I believe that adventure is out there, and memories are just waiting to be made.

Why I am a Mormon

I"m a Mormon because it makes me happy. The good news of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ brings me such joy and comfort. I tried wandering in paths that I knew I should not have followed and all I found was misery. When I returned to the light of the gospel, I felt so much peace inside. I would not trade my hard earned happiness for all the "fun" the world has to offer. I continue to follow this (His) gospel now, because it fills me with bursting joy that cannot be contained. I know that I have a Saviour that will buoy me up through every storm of adversity and affliction. I know that no matter how difficult the way looks ahead, it will be worth it. I know I have already come a long way, and it will be possible for me to continue on. I know that this gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ, is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it has brought me such comfort. It truly is a beautiful book. I still believe in miracles, and I know that God loves me, and that I am his child (you are too.) This is my testimony, and it brings me such joy to share it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by making sure I wear out my knees in prayer. I often share my musical talents in my church meetings, and my favorite church calling was leading the music in the Sacrament Meeting. I try to be an example of what I believe in no matter where I am, even if it means turning down well-meaning offers for drinks. I also try to smile and be a friend to everyone, because everyone has at least a spark of good in them. I love to go visiting teaching because I get to meet other women in my church and get to know them. I have hope that those in my family who are not active in the church will be able to gain faith for themselves and that we will leave no seat empty in heaven. I hope, I pray, and I act. It's just that simple.
