Hi I'm Sarah

Im a twin, Im a singer, Im a fisher, Im a hunter, Im a Maine-ah, and Im a mormon.

About Me

Im quite the sports fan, I love music, anything from hank williams to hayley westenra. I love everything outdoors and im a science geek. I also love to read and write. I am currently enrolled as a student in the cosmetology field but I am highly looking forward to attending college at BYU-I for nursing this fall. I have a wonderful family that consist of my father, mother, twin, older brother, older sister, and of course Hunter, our golden retriever.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up i would go to church here and there with friends, some catholic, some baptist, and mostly all christian but I never had the privilage of attending a LDS church. As I grew older attending church here and there ended completly and i never had a religious view, that is until my mother was introduced to the LDS church and became a member. I realised the change it had made in her and how she was glowing all the time after she had received the gift of the holy ghost, so I began to get taught here and there by the patient missionarys in our ward. At first it was hard for me to understand why we had the words of wisdom and the commandments, i found it quite fustrating to have to give up alot of the things that made my daily routine as in coffee and tea, but i came to realise that in the long run getting rid of those things would make for a better life in many different ways. It was hard to admit that i was interested in becoming a mormon at first because I didn't get any support from my friends and some of my family to join the church because in maine there is a sparse amount of religion, nevermind mormons. This held me back for a short time, but as I began to learn more I turned to heavenly father and began asking questions, and to my suprise I got answers! It started slow at first but they began pouring in, and before i could be asked twice i was getting baptised and becoming a member of the church and so far I know that that has been the best decision of my life and that there is only good to come of it and also that I made not only a difference in my life but in my familys, my friends, and my future family to come!

How I live my faith

There are several ways that I live my faith. I just recently received my calling as personal progress leader for the young women in my ward, I believe that I live my faith by striving to be like my savior and by helping others, not just LDS members in that, because as Jesus Christ made known to us, every person is of the same value, no matter what they believe or the trials that they are facing, we are all children of our beloved heavenly father.
