Hi I'm Annalise

I've have lived in Utah all of my life and I love it. I'm going on a mission to Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy 20 year old that is about to embark on the greatest adventure of my life--I'm going on a mission to Chile. Before the announcement of the age change to allow me to go on a mission earlier than I was planning, I went to school at BYU. BYU is a fantastic school with helpful and kind teachers that want you to succeed, so, as one can imagine, I had wonderful experiences at BYU. Some things that I like to do are hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Going to church, serving others, reading the Book of Mormon and Bible, and simply being obedient to God's commandments brings me much peace and happiness in my life. I have also worked hard to find out for myself if these things are true and have prayed to God for help and guidance to know if this is the true church and I have found that it is.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and being able to serve those in my ward and community. It brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when I serve others. Christ said that "when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." Going to church and participating in my church callings gives me that opportunity to serve and helps me feel closer to Christ.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Annalise
I have a strong testimony of the power of reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures. There have been times in my life when I have not been so good at reading every day or even if I do read everyday I am simply reading to say that I read for the day instead of really studying the words and trying to understand what is being taught. During these times I feel so much farther from my Heavenly Father and from Jesus Christ and I almost feel lost in a way. But when I get back into doing better with my scripture study and reading, studying, and pondering on what I am reading every day I feel so much closer to Christ. I feel more peace, comfort, and guidance in my life. Ultimately, I am a much happier person when I read the scriptures consistently. Show more Show less
