Hi I'm Curtis Broadbent

I am retired. I am a husband and father of three grown girls. I have 11 grandchildren. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired division controller of a large industrial company. My wife and I enjoy our family. Time together is precious. We like to travel and meet new friends along the way. We have been active members of our church all of our lives. I love to be in the service of others. Life is a great journey.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I am a Mormon, I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I know what is expected of me and what I expect from myself. I believe, as the church teaches, that family relationships do not end with this life, but can continue forever. "Mormon" is a nick name coming from the Book of Mormon. The real name of the church is the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the same organization and gospel that Jesus taught during his ministry on the earth. It has been restored again in our day. It is complete with all the teachings and ordinances to lead us back to our Father in Heaven. I have a testimony in my heart that this is true and it gives me great peace and comfort in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is my compass. It serves as a foundation for my family life and much of what I do . I enjoy volunteering and participating in all sorts of activities, especially where I can feel I am making some difference for good. I have spent many years serving as a leader in the youth organizations of the church, especially with the single young adults. You can play and have a great time and still live a good Christian life. I just try to be an example to my family and others of how I think my Savior would expect me to live. I enjoy volunteering in my community as well.
