Hi I'm Dan Barton

Hi, My name is Dan Barton and I am a married father of five. My wife and I run a home based business and live in Utah.

About Me

Shortly after we were married my wife and I relocated to Tennessee where we spent the following 19 years. We have a very warm place in our hearts for those that live in that part of the country. We grew to love the people there and developed an appreciation for the wonderful faith and love many of our neighbors have for our Savior, Jesus Christ. A few years ago we moved to Utah and have also enjoyed living here..

Why I am a Mormon

Our family has been blessed as we have sought to understand God’s plan for us. By studying the scriptures, listening to counsel from his prophets, and asking for His guidance through prayer we have gained a clearer understanding of His divine plan for us. We have great comfort and joy knowing that our family relationships are eternal and extend beyond this life. As a family it gives us great peace of mind to know that families are so important to God’s plan for all of his children. These are just a few of the messages that our son is sharing with others as he serves as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe the messages he carries are also found in the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon. We believe the Book of Mormon to be a 2nd witness, along with the Bible, that Jesus Christ lived and that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Light and will lead us back to our Heavenly Home. We try to study from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon on a regular basis and find in them faith courage to follow after our Savior. We believe you too will find the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both books and that they will be of great worth to you if you read from them with a sincere and open heart. We extend this invitation to you in a spirit of love and know that our son and all the Elders and Sisters serving as full time missionaries stand ready to answer any questions you might have. Best Regards, Dan Barton

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in several ways. First, I think it is important to try and learn as much as I can about our Savior. I am currently rereading the New Testament and find great inspiration in the Saviors life, words and love. I also try to live my faith by beginning my day with a personal prayer, asking for guidance in the things I say and do, and forgiveness for my sins and shortcomings. I also try to read the scriptures together with my wife and children for a few minutes each day and find that when I do there is a little extra peace and joy in our home. I also enjoy attending church on Sunday and just trying to be a good neighbor and friend to those around me.
