Hi I'm Skyler

I'm a southern girl. I'm spiritual. I'm proud, precious, and prepared. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

"Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future." , well I have a past that I'm not proud of. But, that is okay. That is where Repentance comes in. Heavenly Father is faithful to forgive. But as we know in order for us to be forgiven we too must forgive. Once I have completed the Repentance process and forgave others and forgave myself..then the past no longer has a stronghold on me. I nail it to the cross. I move on to better things that Heavenly Father has planned for me. I let go of old sinful habits and obtain new righteous habits. I enjoy the life that Heavenly Father gives. It is the greatest gift of all to me.

Why I am a Mormon

Moroni 10:4-5 "...I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye should ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

How I live my faith

I have a strong desire to serve my Heavenly Father on a church mission. In fact, I would be honored and would be very priveleged to go out and testify to others what I know to be true. If I don't get the oppurtunity to go on a mission for the church I can still be a missionary in my everyday life. I Nephi 3:7 says.."And it came to pass, that I, Nephi, said unto my Father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing that he hath commanded him." Whatever the Lord has in store for me, it will come to pass as and he will prepare the way as I continue to keep his commandments, stay faithful and keep all the promises I make with him.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Members are not required to serve a mission. Yes, you can look at it as tradition but for me the reason why I am wanting to serve a mission is because of the love I have for my Heavenly Father. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have such great joy and I want others to experience the same joy as me. That joy is knowing the truth and living the truth. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

I look at that like a triangle. You have you and the other person at the bottom of the triangle and then Heavenly Father at the top. Think about it. Show more Show less
