Hi I'm Jessica!

I'm from Colorado. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student. I love anything outdoors. I love tennis & volleyball. I love everything that is edible...well almost everything. haha. I absolutely love my family. They are some of the most incredible people ever!! I am the other half of my wonderful twin sister. I am currently serving a mission to share with the world what brings the most happiness to my life. I'm a Mormon :)

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I grew up in the church, but I did have to find out for myself if this church was true. I wasn't always good at reading my scriptures everyday or praying everyday. During that time were some of my worst years in school, athletics, everything! On a particularly, emotionally difficult day I gave up and fell to my knees in tears crying to God asking him why all these bad things were happening to me, why was I not having any success, why was my life turning into a mess. I literally had no idea what to do. When I had calmed down a bit I looked around and saw my scriptures, which I got when I was baptized at 8 years old. I picked it up and started reading. As I did, a feeling of peace and love flowed into me. I knew things weren't going to fix themselves overnight, but I felt that everything was going to be OK. I decided that day that I was going to make a greater effort to read and pray every single day no matter what. Since then I have grown to love the scriptures. I have grown to have a stronger relationship with Heavenly Father through prayer, and I have a greater desire to keep the commandments, following Christ to the best of my ability. I have seen a night and day change in my life that only the gospel of Jesus Christ can do. Jesus Christ is the Savior. Because of Him all things are possible. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Because of this I know Joseph Smith was called by God to be a prophet in our day to restore Christ's Church to the Earth; that church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through its teachings I know I can be with my family forever, I am SO grateful for Jesus Christ who has made that possible. I invite anyone and everyone to read and pray about the Book of Mormon because I KNOW you will find peace. You will find answers to your questions through it and the teachings of this church.

How I live my faith

I try to remember the things Jesus Christ did in His life and follow that example He set for us all. I feel happiest when I am serving and helping others: 1. because I feel great knowing I am doing what Christ would do. 2. I love to see others happy and smiling. Service does that to people. :) I show reverence for my Heavenly Father by attending church every Sunday, reading and studying the scriptures (the Bible and the Book of Mormon), and praying daily. I love interacting with people around me, so through the different activities I am a part of I try to be an example of love, kindness, and just be someone that lives good, moral standards. Also, I choose to be happy and smile as much as I can everyday! :)
