Hi I'm Kami

I love adventures. I love to dance. I'm currently serving a mission in Kennewick Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in many different places but call Utah my home. I am in college and work part-time. I love to dance and try new things and new adventures. I consider myself a girly-girl but I love to play sports, spend time outside, and not afraid to work hard and get dirt under my fingernails. I love to meet new people and create friendships that will last forever. I am born into the Mormon church but I believe that all members are converts. I believe this because born into the church or not, everyone must receive their own testimony and find out for themselves if the Gospel is true. I have a testimony of the teachings of the Mormon Church and I know they are true. I don't use the statement "I know" because I heard it from someone else, or because that is what I should say. I say "I know" because of my own experiences and testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I am born into the Mormon church, I too had to convert and find out for myself if this is what I really wanted. Around the age of 13 I started studying and searching. I attended different churches of different religions, and all were very inspiring and good, but there was a different spirit in the Mormon Church. The Mormon Church also had answers to all of my questions. I would hear conversion stories from other members of the Mormon Church of how the Spirit testified to them that the Mormon Church was true and the lifestyle the church offers creates happiness. I too wanted to know. I wanted find out for myself. I wanted my own testimony. With much studying and pondering, my answer came. A quote by one of the church leaders stated "When seeking a testimony, those of you born into the Church may be looking for some spectacular spiritual feeling different than anything you have ever felt before. You may have heard converts testify of their conversion and wonder if you're missing something. One reason it seems so spectacular to them is that it is new."-(Elder Glenn L. Pace) That was my answer. Heavenly Father knew my thoughts and sent me my answer. That is the moment I knew the Church was true and that Heavenly Father knows me personally. The Mormon Church has so much to offer and glows with goodness. The Mormon Church makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

As a member I go to church on Sundays. I consider Sundays the day I completely charge my "spiritual batteries". During the week I can re-charge my "spiritual batteries" by praying to my Father in Heaven, reading the scriptures, and doing the things that make me a better person. But Sunday's are the day I feel completely charged and ready for what the world will throw at me for the upcoming week. Words can't express how grateful I am for Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ, for giving me a chance to live this life and to one day return back to them.
