Hi I'm Karly Ahrenholtz

I have a "green thumb". I went to floral design school. I love Agriculture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going on a mission to Germany Berlin, I report to the MTC Febuary 6th, 2013. I grew up in Southern Utah doing anything related to Agriculture. I later moved to Colorado with my parents and worked at a Garden Nursery. Also I attended a Floral Design Course at a local floral shop.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyday I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to grow up in the church and always have a testimony in its amazing teaching. Growing up in the church its always easy you still are tempted to do everything that non LDS people are tempted to do. Sometimes you may even give into temptation but knowing that through the atonement (christ giving his life for us to be here today) you can be forgiven and then again become clean and pure. I know this from experience the Repentance process can be difficult but in the long run it is all worth it to be a child of god and be forgivien of your sins. You just have to make your testimony grow by staying strong in the church. The peace and feeling and knowlege of the truth that the church gives to you can not be found anywhere else it is truly incredible what you can learn. I will continue to follow the teaching of the church by serving a mission in Germany and try to spread the word of god to as many people as possible so they have the opportunity to have eternal life with their families and find true happiness.

How I live my faith

When living in Utah I planned many ward parties for getting experience in planning big events. Also did many acts of community service weather it was through the church or through the FFA club in my high school where I was the president of the club. I always loved teaching lessons to the younger children in my ward.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Karly Ahrenholtz
No Mormons are required to serve missions. All young men age 18+ are given the oppertunity and are stongly encouraged to serve. The young men who do not serve will not be treated different then young men who do serve. Young women are allowed to serve at the age of 19+ now we think of it as an amazing oppertunity as long as the young men. No one is ever looked down upon for not serving they have been given the gift of Agency. Many LDS teens think of it as a golden oppertunity to be able to serve our church and communities in such a remarkable way to share the knowledge of our church with those all around the world it is truly a gift from our Heavenly Father. He loves us so much and we are just trying to help many know of what we belive is true. Show more Show less
