Hi I'm Sean McEwan

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm currently preparing to enter the MTC. I love to read and play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy sports of any kind and I play them avidly. I also enjoy singing and playing the guitar. I just recently finished up with my first semester of college at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am currently preparing to enter the MTC on the 9th of January, then heading to serve the people in the Micronesia Guam mission for 2 years. I am the oldest of 4 boys.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing that I value more than being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It gives me a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging that I know I won't feel anywhere else. The great thing about being a member is that you are not just a number to the Lord, you are an actual son or daughter of a Heavenly being, who loves and cares about you individually. I've come to see that love in my own life personally, through my friends, through my family and through the wonderful opportunity that I have to prepare for and serve a mission.

How I live my faith

To me, living my faith means that I conduct my life in such a way that I can invite others to want to know more about our church. I have been so blessed to be able to participate in many service opportunities, both in my ward and in the community. I see service as the big thing that can help me to live my faith. Throughout his mortal ministry, Jesus Christ was always serving others, not because He wanted anything of monetary value from them. He served them because He wanted them to know of Him and of Heavenly Father, and in a way, I have the opportunity to do that every time I serve someone.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Sean McEwan
No, Mormons help everyone and serve everyone. The LDS church believes very strongly in the idea of "neighbor helping neighbor", and I'm so glad that I get to be a part of that plan and serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We as Mormons believe that Jesus Christ went about his earthly ministry serving and helping others that He came in contact with, and by so doing this, He was able to teach wherever He went. That idea of serving and teaching others about our religion still holds true today. There are over 53,000 Mormon missionaries serving in the world today, and they do as Jesus did: they look for people to serve and teach. Show more Show less
