Hi I'm John

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints nicknamed "Mormon's". If you have questions feel free to ask!

About Me

A little about myself. I work in the IT computer field, a bit of a computer geek. I enjoy sports, but the older I get the less I can actively participate in them, so I try to be the best couch analysis and back-seat coach in the home. I enjoy grilling and barbecue cooking and well as eating what I have made. I am married and have 1 son. The family life is the most challenging and rewarding aspect of life. It has made me grow to be a better person, and to have empathy and charity for others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, or "Mormon", because I trusted in prayer. Through prayer I trusted in answers to those prayers. Prayers are answered as biblical scriptures say, through a still small voice called the Holy Ghost. Through this entity that is title The Holy Ghost, I received knowledge, much like undeniable epiphanies of understanding that there is a Heavenly Father and a Son, Jesus Christ, and that good exists because of them. I lacked knowledge, so with this simple truth, yes truth, of asking and receiving answers to my spiritual questions, my journey has led me to be a member of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

There is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then The Church of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is your ethics, your actions, your integrity, your charity, and your daily actions. The church helps me learn and practice these attributes as the way Jesus The Christ taught and lived them. Each day I try to make my coworkers, my family, my friends burden a bit easier through what service, listening ear, favor, or smile that is needed in their life. Pray can not be under estimated in living as a follower of Christ. It is not just praying for the sake of praying, but praying the correct way and trusting in the conversation. Reading scriptures of what Jesus have done for others, what kind of teacher and person he was, what he has had written by others to outline what kind of person he was, so that have an example of what kind of characteristics that I need so that I can be what I have the potential to be.
