Hi I'm Logan

I'm the middle of 5 children. I love swimming and jazz music, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently a student at BYU Idaho, but am preparing to serve as a full time missionary for the church in Russia. While in high school, I was on the school's swim team for all for years, was in the jazz band, and the swing team. I have also played baseball and soccer. I enjoy a good book and hanging out with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can feel the peace the gospel brings into my life, and through that peace, I can know of its truth. When I was 14, my parents went through a divorce and times were really tough. My brothers and sister and I had to rely on the Gospel of Jesus Christ to help us get through it all. While it did not make everything instantly better, it did provide the much needed love and comfort. I choose to live like this because I know it to be true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lords church here on the earth today. The Book of Mormon truly was brought forth by the prophet Joseph Smith, who saw the Father and the Son on that spring morning in 1820. I know that God loves his children. Every single person that is here on the earth today, or has ever lived on the earth, he loves with a perfect love. And most importantly, I know that Jesus Christ paid the price for us. He offered himself up as a sacrifice so that we ALL may return to live with Him and Heavenly Father forever, because He too loves us.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve as a full time missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and one of the best ways to prepare is to live the gospel to its fullest. While I am by no means perfect, I am striving to live as Jesus Christ lived. To treat others with the love that He treated them with, and keep the commandments which He has given to us.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Our church clergy is all unpaied. Each and every one of them sacrifices their time, and talents to help support our church. The tithing money that we pay goes towards the building up of the church, rather than to help support the church leaders. Specifically, tithing money goes to things such as constructing tempels and church buildings, and pays utility expenses for those buildings once they are constructed.Tithing provides the means for printing materials that are used throughout the church, such as lesson manuels.
