Hi I'm Steven Proctor

I'm a Wanna-Be-Rockstar, an Engineer, a USU Aggie, a Swimmer, a Musician, and a Friend. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a hard-working, fun-loving guy who can't get enough of life. I like to take advantage of every opportunity given me, whether that be through school, work, or play. I love music, especially the power it has to tear down the divisions of the world and establish unity; and I love sharing that power with others. I love being active; whether in the dirt, the mud, the air, or the water, I like to play and explore this amazing world we live in. I'm currently an Aggie, or student at Utah State University, studying to be an Engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's true. The world has so many voices that compete for our attention, each voice claims that it has all the answers, that it has the truth. However, the only voice we can trust at all times, in every situation, is the voice of our loving Father in Heaven which comes through the quite whisperings of the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon holds The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in place. Every principle, doctrine, and belief that we live by rests on the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. Our claim to the world is that all truth, all happiness, all peace, the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the ability to live with our families eternally, lies within the teachings and practices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The way to know if this claim is true is to read the Book of Mormon, and ask God if the book is true. I'm a Mormon because I have done this; and the Holy Ghost has whispered the sweet and joyous phrase, "The Book of Mormon is True". I'm a Mormon because God has shown me that this is His Church, and contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel. Nothing has brought me a greater sense of purpose, belonging, peace, joy, and happiness, than being a member of this church. All the blessings that have ever been promised to God's children are available through His church. I'm a Mormon, because it's true - and it brings me more joy than anything else in the world!

How I live my faith

I've always thought the best way to live what you believe is through your actions or example. I always strive to be loving and accepting of everyone I come in contact with. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, and we should treat others as He would, with an unconditional love. I do all that I can to serve others and lighten their loads. The simplest way to describe my attitude is the phrase, "I'm trying to be like Jesus". I want to improve all aspects of my life - to always strive to become all that I am capable of, and consequently bless the lives of all those around me. The greatest thing we have in this world are our families and our friends. I do all I can to strengthen and build those relationships. To develop an undying trust and love that can extend for time and all eternity.
