Hi I'm Cami

I am an Arizona girl, Ice cream makes me happy, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

My family and the Gospel mean the world to me! I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Utah, Ogden mission. I am 19 years old with a love for life and advenuture. My family and this Gospel mean the world to me. I love service and kids so put the two together and I am the happiest person ever! I have been able to serve in different humanitarian projects in the orphanages of Africa and Mexico as well as service progects in the United States with the homeless and special needs, working in the Special Olympics. I LOVE Africa, the people and the country. Give me icecream and you are my new best friend:) The beach, my mom & dad, Yogurtland are some of my favorite things!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the only true church on this world. I have had a confirmation in my heart from my Heavenly Father that the Book of Mormon is a true book and Joseph Smith did restore this gospel. Being a Mormon I have the ability to be an example to others and having the greatest joy in life. I am the happiest when I am doing what is right and sharing the truths of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that when I pray with a sincere heart and have full faith in my father in heaven he will answer my prayers. I know from personal experience that the Priesthood is real and does bless lives. I am so thankful that I get to say I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I think that living by Faith means to have Hope and belief in what we strongly feel about. Something that I know with out a doubt in my mind is that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I show my Faith by believing and supporting all that represent this church. I listen to the counsel from the Prophet and support him in everything he says, becasue what he says is literally like our Heavenly Father speaking to us, telling us what we should do. I show my Faith by little things such as praying every morning and night, reading my scriptures like the Book of Mormon every single day, and attending church every Sunday. I know when we do these little steps each day and throughout our life we will be blessed because they have blessed me and continue to bless me. As i do these 3 things I am really happy and can get through anything!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Mormons baptize thier new members because this is the greatest blessing and we want to share it with everyone! When you are baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the door opens to the infinite blessings God has for you. By getting baptized you are promising God you will have Faith in him and his plan for you, that you have faith in his son, Jesus Christ. You are making a covenant with God to always remember him and to obey his commandments. In return, you recieve the amazing gift of the Holy Ghost, who will always be there for you and comfort you at all times. You recieve blessings and real joy and happiness. God loves his children so much and by getting baptized you are allowing him to pour wonderful blessings upon you. This promise is a two way promise, but i promise you, the blessings you recieve because of it is far greater then anyone can imagine. Being baptised is the greatest decision you will ever make and when you are baptized for the right reasons, becasue of your faith and desire, and endure to the end, eternal life will be yours.
