Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Burley, Idaho. I have been called to serve as a full time missionary in Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended a year of college at Southern Utah University and have now been working on getting ready to serve a mission. I love sports and plan on studying sports medicine when I get back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have chosen to follow the teachings and guidance of Christ. My sisters have set a good example for me of going on full time missions, and I now prepare to serve my own mission in Southern Chile. I am excited to spread the gospel and I have made many preparations to serve and teach the gospel in the Spanish language. I chose to serve a mission because I believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to learn about the gospel. I have worked many places where there are many misconceptions about Mormons, and I love to take any opportunity to tell people why I do things the way I do, and why I live my life a little differently than them. I am a Mormon because I know the church is true, and I want others to know it too.

How I live my faith

I was born into an LDS family, so I have known the church my whole life. My parents were both converts to the church, and and are not from a strong religious background. I am thankful that my parents are such a strong influence in my life, and being raised by them has only strengthened my testimony of the church. I have been called to numerous musical positions throughout my life and enjoy playing the piano whenever I have the opportunity. No matter where I go, I am thankful for the opportunity to attend church with people my own age, and I try to stay as involved as I can in church no matter where I live. Growing up it wasn't a question of why do I have to go to church, it was what can I learn from going to church. My parents have always been so strong in their faith gained from being members of the church, and I look to their example and am blessed to have such a strong support system. I am grateful for my family and their positive role in my life.
