Hi I'm Kandis

I am a college student who loves to play sports, stay involved and get to know everyone that I can!

About Me

I love people! I enjoy getting to know people and making friends. The most important people in my life are my family members. I have an incredible, crazy, loving family and I would do anything for them. I enjoy staying active and being adventurous. I love to play golf and really like the time I get to spend with my family and friends on the golf course.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Church, but there came a time where I needed to decide what I believed and stand up for it. I read the Book of Mormon and got close to my Savior in prayer and knew that I was supposed to always follow him and the teachings of his Gospel. I knew it was my responsibility to be an example to all of those around me. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have a sure testimony that God the Father and his Son live and love each of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today and I am so grateful for the guidance that he gives. I love this Gospel! And I will always strive to live it and grow closer to my Savior every day.

How I live my faith

I have opportunities to teach the youth of the Church and I love every minute of it. I try to motivate and encourage them and others around me to live good lives that reflect the love of our Savior. In a month, I am going to serve a full time mission in San Antonio Texas and I am so excited! I want to help everyone I can to come to the knowledge that God lives and loves them.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

My faith in Jesus Christ grows as I live his teachings and recognize the blessings that follow. In the world we live in, many challenges come. I have had to face challenges and have gone through things that seem unfair and out of my control. But, through each trial, I strive to remember what I know. And that is that Christ died for me. He knows me. EVERYTHING about me. And as I remember that my relationship with him is so personal, I know that the things he asks me to do will strengthen me. They will make me happy. And each time I do act in faith and do what is asked, blessings follow. Not always in the ways that I want or expect, but the follow. And they show me that he loves and cares about it. And that makes my faith grow and my desire to be more like him increase. Show more Show less
