Hi I'm Tyler Carter

I grew up in South Carolina. I'm serving a mission in the Arizona Scottsdale mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy working on cars and playing guitar in my spare time. I also occasionally play piano as well. I am serving a full-time mission in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I graduated from the technology center at my high school as an honor student in Automotive Collision Repair. I worked in the field for some time after high school but have learned it's not the career path I want to take and have looked into going into Industrial Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and raised in it by my parents and I continue to live by it and continue to follow His gospel because I know for a surety that it is true. I have prayed about it and received a testimony and a witness that the gospel in its entirety is true. The gospel helps me in many ways by leading me in the right direction and always having his Spirit with me also guiding me in my daily life. Being a missionary has helped strengthen my testimony and made me appreciate the teachings of my parents and church leaders so that I can teach the gospel to others.

How I live my faith

I am a full-time member. I actively participate in all of my meetings. I hometeach with my father every month. I have served in callings in the youth program and also as a ward missionary. I love serving as a missionary for the Lord in Arizona and love spreading the gospel to those who are waiting to receive it!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler Carter
Only the men are required to serve missions. The age to go is at 18. It is a huge blessing for every young man to serve a mission for the Lord and it will bless them for the rest of their lives. Young women can also serve missions and are encouraged to do so, but it is not required. Married couples that no longer have children in the home may also serve a mission together when they are prepared to do so. Show more Show less
