Hi I'm Kelcey

I want to be an Art Teacher when I grow up and I want to travel the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

By the time I was a sophomore in High School, I had moved 13 times and been to 10 different schools. I didn't mind it much because that was all I knew, but when I get married and have a family I want to live in a small town and stay there for the rest of my life. Before I settle down and have a family my dream is to travel the world. I want to see and do as many things as possible. My biggest goal in life is to cross off my entire bucket list by the time I am forty, and then write a new one to cross of before I die. Right now I'm about halfway through college, and I work full time at a bank. My favorite things in the whole world right now are arts & crafts, hiking, popcorn, and playing soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and to be honest, I never really question my parents faith and church I went to. I had a testimony of God and prayer as a really young kid and I always felt that the church was true. We mostly lived in Utah when we moved around when I was young, so I was around alot of kids with the same beliefs. It wasn't until we moved to Washington and I started High School when things were different. I was asked on a daily basis, why in the world I wanted to be one of those crazy Mormons. I had to actually sit down and ask myself the same question because "It makes me happy", and "because I like being a Mormon" didn't really seem to cut it for a good enough answer. Why am I a Mormon...the more I prayed about it, and the more I paid attention in church and the more I studied out the things that were taught all the doubt erased from my mind. I didn't just feel the church was true. I Knew the church was true.

How I live my faith

Well, the way I live my faith is mostly by trying to do the every day little things. For example like reading my scriptures every night, writing in my journal as much as possible, making sure to tell my friends and family I love them often, always trying to work on things that could make me better, try to be less selfish and more grateful, go to church often and think about the things that are being taught, and try to be more like Christ. Sometimes it's hard to be 100% in all of these areas, but I know if I am doing my best it counts for points in heaven. ;) I also live my faith by being the happiest I can possibly be and soak up every day Heavenly Father has given me. He didn't send me down here to be miserable and unhappy, he sent me to learn and grow and most importantly...to be happy.
