Hi I'm Michael

I've grown up all across the US. I started college when I was 15 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church by my parents. My sister and I were both home schooled in a rigorous program that allowed us to graduate high school at a young age. Even though I'm currently entering my third year of college, I still love playing and working in the outdoors. This came from being involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 10 years. I also have a passion for cooking, various engineering projects, computer programming, diy, and photography.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the church and had many great and wonderful experiences in the gospel, I never felt strongly about the church until I was 13-14 years old. My parents and I had just finished watching a movie about Christ's visit to the America's after His resurrection. My mother asked me if I felt anything while watching the movie. I know I felt something wonderful that night. It was the Holy Ghost bearing personal witness to me that Christ is the Son of God and that the Book of Mormon is true. That little testimony has grown throughout the last couple of years, and even when I struggle with my beliefs, I know that this is the way to true happiness in this life and in the life to come. I've been on the plains the early Mormon pioneers crossed. I've been on mountain tops and seen the grand vistas God has given us. I've seen storms vanish, challenges overcome, bodies heal, and hearts change. I may have not seen everything, I certainly don't know everything, but I know that God lives. He loves us, and sent His Son to die for us. Christ atoned for all of our sins, and He has the power to save us. He can heal us. He can comfort us. Joseph Smith did see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. The power of the priesthood is real. Thomas S. Monson is a living Prophet, he loves us, and has and will give us divine guidance from our Heavenly Father to help us make it back home to live with Him someday.

How I live my faith

Since I grew up in the church, while moving across the country several times, I've been surrounded by the culture and faith of many different people. This has had a profound impact on the way I think about and live the gospel. I was blessed with many opportunities to learn, grow, and serve alongside other youth my age, before and during this time I have been singing about going on a mission, but the time is finally here! I love being in the church and can't wait for this next chapter of my life. I'll be serving my Heavenly Father for the next 2 years as a missionary in Canada.
