Hi I'm Jenny Rollins

I've been all over the world. I'm a missionary and loving it. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary in the California, Anaheim Mission, speaking the wonderful Spanish language. I am the youngest of seven children, so I'm the baby of the family. I was born in Cairo, Egypt and I moved back and forth from Virginia and Egypt for the first few years of my life. I could speak Arabic as well as I could speak English, though I have since lost it. I also lived in South Africa for four years. I have visited over 27 different countries in my lifetime. I am probably one of the silliest people I know, but I love learning and I take it very seriously. I am an ardent reader and writer and I am currently an English major. I also was in choir for five years and I absolutely love music. I also really enjoy science fiction, whether it be movies, books, tv shows, video games, etc. My main goal in life is to help people and my unrealistic goals in life are to be really good at parkour and to be able to play the accordion while riding a unicycle.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church and was constantly supported by the people and knew that it was a good place to be, but I did not know yet whether it was all true for myself. I had my doubts and my concerns and I did not wish to be part of something only because my parents were. Fortunately, this gospel is really about gaining knowledge for one's self. In every lesson we were taught to pray and ask if these things were true and to find out for ourselves if the things we learned were true. There came a point in my life where I doubted everything that I had learned. I doubted God. I doubted Christ. I doubted religion. I felt lost and confused, and after a while I finally got over my stubbornness and humbled myself to read the Book of Mormon and pray. I have never felt greater love and joy than I did in that moment. I knew it was true, and could never deny it. I currently read the Book of Mormon everyday and ask whether these things are true, and each time I get the same answer. I get a strong feeling in my chest and I can have no doubt of its truth. I have lived and loved this gospel for as far as I can remember, but it is my own choice and my own desire to do so. I know that the teachings of the Church are true and I know that it is Christ's church restored again on this earth.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in Anaheim, California attempting to speak Spanish. Life is great. :)
