Hi I'm Stanley Ogden

My passion is music. I love everything about music: performing, composing, and listening.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve an LDS Mission to Quito, Ecuador. I have two brothers and three sisters. My dad is the principal of the school in Meeteetse. I love performing for people. I have been able to perform not only in school (through plays and bands) but also in Seattle, Washington, and Orlando, Florida. I enjoy talking to new people and am very sociable. I try to learn as much as I can because it will help me in my life. My calling in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the assistant to the bishop.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the very awesome experiences and feelings I have had manifest in my life. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I know that if all of us follow the prophet that we will not be lead astray and can ultimately return to our loving Father in Heaven once again.

How I live my faith

I have found that service is the best way to be happy and I continue to look for service opportunities. I also live my faith by being an example. I try not to use offensive language, smile as humanly possible, and make other people smile as well.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Stanley Ogden
We have been asked by our prophet that "every worthy male member" should serve a mission. No one is required to serve a mission. All Mormon missionaries choose to serve a mission. They make this choice through much fasting and prayer. I personally knew I was supposed to serve my mission because I had many people already asking me about the church before serving. I also knew because I love the Gospel and would want anyone and everyone to hear about it. Show more Show less
