Hi I'm Jess Davis

I'm a Brasilian-American preparing to serve an LDS mission. I love traveling, writing, music, and photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Brigham Young University, studying Marketing Management. Several of my hobbies include writing, baking, playing volleyball, swimming, and photography. I've been playing the guitar for about 5 years, and am self-taught. One of my defining characteristics is my love for travel. I often spend my free time researching other cultures, volunteer opportunities abroad, and can more often than not name the price of any plane ticket to anywhere in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that there is a God that lives and loves us. He is our Heavenly Father, and I have felt His love for me when I have faced trials in my life. He really does hear us and answer our questions, and I have never had a question left unanswered when I turn to Him and prayer. His word and words of the prophets that He has sent to Earth to guide us are found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and through those counsels I have been able to receive strength, comfort, and the direction in my life that I have asked for.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve an 18-month LDS mission in Florida. While in Florida, I will have the opportunity to share my beliefs with others through teaching and service.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jess Davis
Just like our fathers here on Earth, our Heavenly Father wants us to communicate with us. Through prayer, we are able to tell Him about our day, ask Him for help, and ask any questions that we might have. By taking that action, we will be able to feel His love for us and find answers to those questions, whether it be through thoughts or feelings we receive, or through the words we hear in scriptures or in church meetings.
