Hi I'm Chalet McKenzie Beames

I'm from Hazelton Idaho. I am in the didactic program at BYU, and I work as a CNA at a nursing home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. Some of my most memorable moments have been with family camping, hiking, and 4-wheeling. I enjoy spending time with others, and I have a great desire to help others live a healthy life. I'm currently going to college where I am majoring in dietetics.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to follow Christ and make his gospel a part of my life because of the way He shapes me to be a better person. I was raised a mormon, but my conversion occurs more and more everyday. Some of it started by reading the scriptures, and going to church. But initially the light started withing myself when I realized that I couldn't do everything by myself. I finally got down on my knees and prayed for the help of Christ's Atonement. I am not perfect, nor will I be perfect in this life, but through the Savior I can change and become better. I know that this gospel is the way to return to our Father in Heaven by coming unto Christ and following his example. It means the world to me. There is no greater purpose than for me to share the love I have found with others.

How I live my faith

Making Christ a center of my life is a big part of my life. I am always able to do that through giving my time to serving others, strengthening my family, and currently I am able to serve a church mission where I can invite others to come unto Christ and strengthen their faith in him. No matter where I am I know there are opportunities to help others. Even through my job at a nursing home I am able to find others to serve. I love the opportunity I have to get to know others and help bring brightness and hope to some aspect of their lives by promoting health, healthy habits, and sharing my beliefs about our Savior Jesus Christ.
