Hi I'm Kaitlin

I love life and find many opportunities to laugh! I am serving a spanish speaking mission in Chicago, Illinois. I am a Mormon.

About Me

All that I love about life can be summed up with one word! Laughter. :) I love to laugh, and smile, and make others around me do the same! My favorite things in life always include people. Anything I can do with my family and friends is automatically something that I like! I want all around me to feel of the spiritual depth that I have had the opportunity of feeling in my life! Everyone I come in contact with usually ends up hearing about how much I love this gospel! I have a lot of energy, and for the next 18 months, I hope to focus ALL of it on my mission. :) I am a missionary for the Church in the Chicago Illinois spanish speaking Mission (si, hablo espanol :)...apredi aca) and I've never been happier!! :) Although I hope to later further my education in the medical field to become a Physicians Assistant, my ultimate goal is to be a mother. :) I hope more than anything to become the mother that my mother is to me! I hope to marry someone as loyal, and Christlike as my father! I have 1 older sister and 5 younger brothers, and never a dull moment! I love my family and I couldn't imagine it any other way! I love my life, and I owe all of that happiness to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! :) ...and chocolate ice cream!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know who I am. I was sent to this earth to be tried, proven worthy, and return to my Father in Heaven, bringing as many people to Him as I can along the way. How do I know this? Because I've prayed about it. Because i've "experimented upon [His] words" (Alma 32:27). Yes, I grew up Mormon, and have been since the day I was born, but I believe I was truly converted to this church when I found out for myself, by doing what the Book of Mormon counsels in Moroni 10:4 "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, He will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." By the power of the Holy Ghost I truly have come to find the truth of all things. I am a Mormon because I have been taught by the Holy Ghost that It is the truth, and I will faithfully be a Mormon until the day I am called to return to the presence of my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by relying on the Lord in all that I do. From a very young age I've been very independent. I have been humbled as I've learned that everything I've ever been able to achieve has been because of my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. I live my faith by serving as a missionary. This Gospel brings happiness, and I want everyone to feel of the joy that I feel of every day. I receive this joy, and also live my faith, by reading the pages of The Book of Mormon, and kneeling before my Father in Heaven morning and night. My goal is to be under the complete influence of the Holy Ghost, at all times in order to be lead to those who need our Savior, and those whom through me, can be brought to receive this happiness. This truly is the work of the Almighty God, and as Elder Holland states "It is to change the world". I hope to be an instrument in the Heavenly Fathers hands in guiding His children to this gospel. "Having set [my] hand to the plough, [I] will never look back until this work is finished and love of God and neighbor rules the world."
