Hi I'm James Merrill

I've grown up in Davis County, Utah, and I love the chruch and Christ's gospel.

About Me

I have just attended my first semester of college starting a path towards computer engineering. I love intelectual challenges and puzzles. Some of my favorite activites include playing board games with my family and friends, and driving around in my red pickup truck.

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed to have been born into a loving family in the church. To me, my family is the greatest of all the blessings given to me from God. I know without a doubt that Christ has a plan. His plan of salvation allows us through His infinate attonement to recieve celestial, and eternal life. Not only is this an extraordinary promise to us when we chose to repent of all sins, but this promise extends to families. Christ's plan allows for families to live forever in our Father's Kingdom. To me, the promise of eternal families is reason enough, to live Christ's gospel. I love His Church and His teachings. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I read scripture from the Book of Mormon and the Bible daily, along with personal morning and evening prayer. While attending college I had a resopsibility to go hometeaching to six members of our ward. I would visit their dorms once or twice a month to share a spiritual message about Christ and offer mine and mine companion's services for whatever the members needs may be. I attend my church meetings regularly on Sundays and volunter to be apart of a choir for our congregation. I feel deeply blessed for the service I put forth in behalf of my church and for the personal study. It brings a joy and fullness to my life.
