Hi I'm Tania Jane

I grew up in Mexico. I am a college student. I love to dance, sing, and be with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoyed growing up in the city- I'm definitely a city girl! I tried to work extra hard in high school so I could get into a good university which I believe I accomplished- I earned my Associates before graduating from high school which I know that I couldn't have done by myself. I am currently taking a break from college to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months. I love to dance, run, play volleyball, sing, cook, bake, and watch movies and t.v. shows. I love my family dearly and they mean the world to me. I am four out of six kids- 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I love people- I enjoy helping others and making them feel better that way I forget about my own problems.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me up in the church so ever since I was a baby and can remember I've been coming to the Mormon church. I have always known in my heart that it was true. When I was younger and couldn't understand a lot of it the one thing I knew for sure was that it had brought great happiness to my family and parents. I knew that my family would be taken care of no matter how bad the financial circumstances were. The faith that my parents had, the faith that I grew up seeing made me want to keep going to church and learn more. The more I learned and went to church the more I knew that I was doing the right thing. When I got baptized at age 8, I felt so strongly in my heart that this was the right thing and although I didn't know every detail of everything I knew one thing- the church was true. The rest of my life I have been continually learning and growing. Everything that I have learned from the my Savior to the Book of Mormon I know is true. Not only have I just gone to church and agreed with everything that I have been taught but I applied those principles in my life and I have seen the great change that has come about. My relationship with God continues to grow and I know that He is watching over me and hears my prayers and knows me and my desires. I have seen God's miracles and tender mercies poured out to and my family and I can't deny it. Living the gospel and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has saved my me and the life of my family. I know it is true, more than I know that the sun will shine every morning. This testimony and knowledge has come through hard work and faith- I go to church as much as I can, I live the principles taught by the church, I pray, read my scriptures, I try my absolute best. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Read John 7:17 and know for yourself if what I am testifying is truth. God has a plan for all of His children and the gospel will help you discover it for yourself.

How I live my faith

I try to participate in things that will help my community because it brings be joy and happiness. I have participated at Girls Camps where we build the self-esteem and give hope and faith to teenage girls by providing a fun and wholesome environment. I have participated in Teen Conferences where we encourage and teach the youth about God and His love for His children. I was a Teen Counselor last Summer and gave teens in the community something fun to do and somewhere safe to go to help them stay out of trouble while they are not in school. In all of these teaching experiences I believe I have learned more and I have the best memories from these experiences. I have the privilege to visit and spend time monthly with other women who are my age and share the same life experience such as school, work, family, friends, and even beliefs. Every once in a while I have had the opportunity to teach or share my life and what I have learned as well as words of encouragement to others who are also in the same life circumstances as I am. I have gotten to share my intimate and sacred feelings and experiences with others that have changed their lives or even strengthened them.
