Hi I'm Nora Ellis

I was born and raised in Maryland. I LOVE the rain. And I'm a Mormon..:)

About Me

Some would call me a nerd. I like books and movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars. I also follow the TV series Doctor Who. I like to play sports as well. I may not be very good at them, but swimming, volleyball, and basketball are some of my personal favorites. I am the youngest of 5 children in my family. My first job was in a Nursing Home, but have since worked at McDonalds and Toys'R'Us, Days Inn Hotels, and now I'm in customer service. I served a mission for the Church in Pocatello, Idaho in the Spanish language. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord. I finished my mission the end of July. My favorite quote is "you only fail when you give up." I believe life is all about being happy, having hope and trusting in the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because, for me, there is simply no other way to live in true happiness. It's true I was raised in the "Mormon" Church but this does not mean I have followed it's teaching my whole life. There have come times when I thought it would be more fun to forget all the rules and do whatever I want. But in time I have found that when my life is not in harmony with the teachings of Christ, I can not be truely happy. I know and have a testimony that Heavenly Father wants me and all his children to be happy. I know he has a plan for each one of us and that each one of us is essential to his plan. I am so thankful that his plan allows us to make mistakes and be truly forgiven. I know that through Christ we can all come to live with our Heavenly Father again. And that simple truth makes me very happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by maintaining a personal relationship with my savior Jesus Christ. I have served in my church by accepting callings, or assignments, such as visiting other Sisters or being secretary for a class. I have participated in many service activities the church holds. I also live my faith by remembering to keep the Lord in mind as I go about my week.
