Hi I'm Millie

O give me thy sweet Spirit still The peace that comes alone from thee The faith to walk the lonely road That leads me to eternity

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the North Carolina, Charlotte Mission. I grew up LDS, but was inactive for most of my life. When I was 12 years old my brother and I began going to church together, and after a couple of years my whole family was going to church again. I can't describe the changes that took place in our family. We were once unhappy and in just a matter of a couple of months we were filled with a joy that couldn't be taken away. I know it was the Gospel of Jesus Christ that filled us with that love of God. It filled a hole that had developed in our hearts. That is why I decided to go on a mission. I wanted to share this happiness with the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I grew up and was baptized as a child, something I have come to know though, is at some point everyone has to gain a testimony for themselves. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and I can't deny that it is true. I have had experiences that have lead me to know without a doubt that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored and He is at the head of this church. I know that because Heavenly Father loves His children He has restored this Gospel to the earth so that we can return to live with Him. It is the only way we can be with Him and with our families for all eternity! :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to apply the principles Christ taught about while He was here on Earth. I am not perfect by any means, but I believe in trying to be more like Christ each day. We first have Faith in Him then we realize that because He payed for our sins that we need to repent and then we take the steps of baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost from there we then continue to live this pattern. We go to church, we serve our fellow brothers and sisters and we go about life trying to receive direction and guidance from our Heavenly Father. It's a way of life and although we slip and fall sometimes the gospel of Jesus Christ will always be our way back up and help us to continue to move forward.
