Hi I'm Camille Hill

I'm from good ole Idaho. I love life and everything there is to it and I'm a HAPPY Mormon!

About Me

I'm a college student who is currently serving a mission in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. I've been studying at BYU-Provo and am on the Ballroom Dance Company. I have been dancing since I was 7 and because of Ballroom I have been blessed to be able to dance around the world, all the way to China! I love being able to use the wonderful gift Heavenly Father has given all of us (Our bodies) and create beautiful movement. I love anything outdoors or that has to do with adventure! I am the 7th kid our of 10 (8 girls and 2 boys) and my family is my pride and joy! They are my very best friends whom I am so grateful to know. I don't believe there is one day I have ever lived that I haven't found joy. I love finding happiness in everything, it's easy to do! All I have to do is look at the sun and it's beautiful rays of sunshine and I know that my life blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the most precious gift I have ever received in my life. I will be the first to admit my imperfections, but what I have come to love most about being a member, is that there is ALWAYS hope. In the crazy world today where wrong is sometimes justified as being right and right is accused as being wrong, the church clearly teaches what is what. There is always hope to come unto Christ. There is so much goodness to be found in the church. Most of all, I am a member because I have knelt down on my knees, and with a truly open heart, I have found for myself that this church is true church. I felt the Holy Ghost. I have felt the Atonement and not only gods forgiveness, but what direction to take my life into. I have read the Book of Mormon and asked with a sincere heart if what it was saying was true. The answer I felt was a peaceful yes. I've had to keep my heart soft and humble to follow Christ to his fullness. I am not perfect, but Christ only asks us to do our best. I am proud to say that I am a member of the LDS faith because god has revealed to me, that this church is true. And because of it, I am at peace with life and completely content with my purpose in his plan of salvation.

How I live my faith

I am on a mission! Because of the new age change, I was able to leave at 19 (wahoo). I have had several callings in the church but the one I hold dear to my heart in living my faith, is knowing that I am a daughter of god and the responsibilities that come along with that knowledge. My life is not about my own self, it is about helping others come to know our brother Jesus Christ more. Know what potential they hold and how beautiful they are. I believe that there is not one person who is trying to live righteously, that is not beautiful. There is SO much joy in this life, and I love helping others recognize the tender mercies that surround us all. I live my faith by walking close to Christ.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Camille Hill
We do not worship Joseph Smith, we worship God our Eternal Father and Jesus Christ our dear brother. Joseph Smith restored the church with all of its keys and ordinances, like in times of old, and was a vessel in interpreting the Book of Mormon. He was a prophet called of god who is very respected and loved but not worshiped. He helped bring many great things to the earth again and for that I am so grateful for the church has blessed me infinitely. Show more Show less
